D.J. Peat Roofing and Nedlaw Roofing officially unified under a single brand: Nedlaw Roofs. Having operated as one team since the acquisition of D.J. Peat in 2011, this strategic brand consolidation reflects our shared values, integrated operations, and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service.
Together under the Nedlaw Roofs name, we move forward stronger—united in purpose, reputation, and excellence.

2022.
In 2022, Randy Walden, founder of Nedlaw, passed away. His legacy lives on through Drew and John Walden, who continue to lead the company with the same dedication and values he instilled.
Nedlaw continues to serve customers nationwide with over 100 professional, full-time, year-round staff, our own state-of-the-art equipment, a fully outfitted fleet of vehicles, and an on-premises sheet-metal shop.

2021.
In 2021, Nedlaw opened a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility to accommodate its growing team. The green building features a Rainwater Harvesting System and 5 Nedlaw Living Wall Biofilters that ensure fresh air throughout the building.

2011.
Nedlaw Roofing acquires D.J. Peat Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. A successful commercial roofing company which has been proudly servicing the Grey, Bruce, Simcoe, Dufferin, Huron, and Perth areas since 1972.
Located in Annan, D.J. Peat continues to serve Southwestern Ontario as a trusted roofing contractor.

1988-2009.
Nedlaw Roofing Ltd. acquired numerous roofing companies throughout the years, including: Monarch Roofing, Schwarz Roofing, Muskoka Lakes Roofing, and Palmer Roofing.

1988.
Randy Walden established Nedlaw Roofs in 1988 to fill a need within the commercial, institutional and industrial sector for high-quality yet reasonably priced roofing services. By successfully completing a wide range of projects that involve unique challenges, Nedlaw has steadily grown to become one of Ontario's largest and most respected roofing contractors.

1982-1988.
Randy Walden takes over
Walden Roofing until May 1988.

1965.
John Carl Walden was born in 1929 in Ripley, Ontario.
After serving in the Second World War, John graduated with a business degree from the University of Toronto.
Ten years after John joined Barrett Roofing Supplies in Toronto, he and his family moved to Kitchener where he purchased Galt Roofing Ltd., which was located on 58 Victoria St. at the time.

1979.
Shortly before John Carl Walden passed away, he acquired Galt Roofing of Cambridge which he continued to operate under the Walden Roofing name.

1969.
In 1969 Galt Roofing changes its name to Walden Roofing.
